User API Feed Permissions

For some Send360 customers that use Send360 for broader collateral management (flyers, brochures, business cards, etc), and have more complex needs to personalize materials for their employees driven from many custom fields on the User Object (fields like license #'s, User specific disclaimers, URLs to photos or personal logos, etc.), a best pratice is to create a recurring API feed from the Salesforce User object to Send360.

For example, this is common for Send360's mortgage customers that capture many marketing related fields per Loan Officer on the User object, such as those shown below.

In order to mirror such User data in Send360 and keep it up to date, Send360 often enables a SOQL query to run against the User object ongoing and keep Send360 up to date.

For customers using this User API Feed strategy, our Managed Package also delivers a Permission Set called "Send360 User API Feed", which simply provides the System Permission of VIEW ALL USERS.

To enable User API Feed Permissions for Send360 perform these steps:

1. Clone the "Send360 User API Feed" Permission set and name it for your organization (Ex: ACME/Send360 User API Feed".
2. Within the new Permission Set, go to Object Settings>Users and go to FIELD PERMISSIONS and grant READ rights on all relevant custom User fields which should be available for personalization of your marketing collateral, and Save.
3. Apply the new, expanded Permission Set to the Salesforce User functioning as your Send360 Integration User.
